My experience with the writing center in the second semester was very different from my experience in the first semester. Although I did not find my first visit very helpful, my most recent visit made a huge impact on my thinking for this project. I discussed the choice project with the writing fellow, and he helped me decide that I should do the revision option on my Personal Narrative.
I believe that my Personal Narrative was one of my worst pieces of writing this year, but I thought it was the perfect choice for the revision option in the choice project. The writing fellow helped me find the strengths in the piece, and he helped me find what went well in different areas. After we found out what my strengths were, we searched for where I could revise the paper to improve its quality by adding my strengths to sections that felt weak. The writing center showed me a different strategy to improve my writing, and I can use this experience to grow as a writer.
